Lifestyle

Before Del Webb came along there was no such job as a "Lifestyle Director"-- we invented the position, and ours are still the best. They create and oversee a program full of opportunities to stay physically, socially, and culturally active and engaged that no other community can match. It's a tough job having so much fun, but somebody has to do it!

  • Fitness & Sports
    • Fitness is vital to many active adults, and between our state-of-the-art fitness center, our sports-oriented resident groups, and our recreational facilities maintained to the highest standards, at Del Webb practicing your healthy lifestyle isn't just easy, it's fun!
  • Social
    • There are interest groups to join, events to attend together--both onsite and throughout the Palm Springs area--neighborly parties to go to, buddies to hang with--friends to make!

Staying socially active is easy at a Del Webb community, and "I've never had so many friends in my life" is a common statement from our residents. It won't take you long to find out why!

  • Lifelong Learning
    • At Del Webb Rancho Mirage, you're only minutes from several institutions of higher learning--the local branches of University of Riverside and Cal State San Bernardino, as well as the College of the Desert community college. All three offer a long list of classes and programs that active adults can attend. And Rancho Mirage has one of the best small city libraries in the state of California (with its own Observatory and on-staff astronomer).

If your idea of fun is to stay mentally active and challenged, this is the smart place to be!
  • Resident Groups
    • Resident Groups are vital to the Del Webb lifestyle. Some of our communities have more than 100 groups and, and we're forming new ones all the time at Del Webb Rancho Mirage.

Groups can include sports, hobbies, crafts, creative arts, offsite excursions--just about any activity you can think of. And everyone is welcome to join whatever group they want--or none at all! They're a great way to meet people with similar interests and make new friends.

  • Volunteer Opportunities
    • For many residents, volunteering becomes an important part of their active lifestyle. Whether it's giving tours as a docent at a nearby nature preserve, working the check-in desk at a local medical center, serving as an usher at a performing arts center, or supporting a cause or group they care about, many residents find volunteering a great way to stay engaged, make friends, and find personal fulfillment.

Many residents even volunteer to support our Association staff!

If you're interested, let us know and we'll provide you with a comprehensive list of opportunities to choose from. However you want to get involved, we'll help you find the place that's right for you.
